Choosing TFL Bearing Company's bearings means choosing high efficiency, stability and reliability, which makes your machinery run like a tiger and opens a wonderful chapter in the industrial field!

What Are Crossed Roller Bearings?

Crossed roller bearings are a special type of bearing with a split inner ring and a rotating outer ring, which are usually used as joint bearings in industrial robots due to their special structure. Its rolling elements are generally cylindrical rollers or tapered rollers, which are arranged crosswise on a single raceway.

Types of Crossed Roller Bearings

Cross Cylindrical Roller Bearings: The internal structure of crossed cylindrical roller bearings adopts rollers arranged vertically at 90° to each other, with a spacer keeper or isolation block between rollers, which can prevent the tilting of rollers and mutual grinding between rollers, effectively avoiding the increase of rotating torque. In addition, there is no contact or locking of one side of the rollers;

Also, since the inner and outer rings are divided, the gap can be adjusted, and high-precision rotary motion can be obtained even when preload is applied.

Cross-Taper Roller Bearings: Crossed tapered roller bearings (XRT series) are designed to provide high rotational accuracy and stiffness in a small space, with substantial material cost savings. These bearings are two sets of bearing races and rollers mounted together at right angles to each other in a cross, with adjacent rollers facing in opposite directions, with isolation blocks mounted between the rollers, and with support spacers on the rollers, which allows the two half rows of rollers to fit into the same space. The angular and tapered geometry of the bearing makes the effective span of the bearing several times larger than the actual width of the bearing itself.

Harmonic Reducer Roller Bearings: It is a kind of work with special power transmission and is a supporting bearing for harmonic reducer, so it is also generally known as harmonic reducer or harmonic reducer. But also widely used in space technology, electronic industry, robotics, printing machinery, CNC machine tools and other fields.

Application Areas of Crossed Roller Bearings

Precision rotary indexing tables for machine tools, vertical grinding machines, vertical and horizontal boring machines,  rotary surface grinding machines, large gun and radar rotary tables, hobbing machines,  large radio and optical telescopes, rotary cameras, rotary pivots and continuous casting machines, height-restricted pivot microscope tables, rod centres, rotary steering racks, welding brackets, rotary assembly fixtures, industrial robots, precision rotary tables, medical devices, measuring instruments, IC manufacturing equipment. Measuring instruments, IC manufacturing equipment.

What Are the Advantages of Cross-Roller Bearings?

It has high rotational accuracy, takes up little space, simplifies operation and installation, and can withstand large axial and radial loads.

Is a Cross Roller Bearing Better Than a Ball Bearing?

Crossed roller bearings and ball bearings both have their characteristics and advantages, and the choice of which bearing is better depends on the specific use scenario and needs.

What Are Cross Bearings Used For?

It is widely used in industrial automated robots, work machines, medical facilities, and other applications that require high rigidity, high precision, and high rotational speed.
